UHF Tag Duplication Instructions

Follow these steps to duplicate your compatible UHF parking tag using the reader and replacement tag included with your order.

Important: These instructions are for UHF tags only. If your tag is not a UHF tag, please return to the correct product page for your key fob or card type.

System Requirements

A Windows or macOS computer is required to use the UHF reader. Phones and tablets are not supported at this time.

Operating System Requirement
Windows x64 Windows 11 24H2 or newer
Windows on ARM Supported. Manual USB driver installation is required. See the Windows on ARM driver download below.
macOS macOS Sonoma (14) or newer
Linux / UNIX-like Supported on all major desktop UNIX-like operating systems, including Linux and FreeBSD. Please email us with your operating system and processor architecture so we can make a special build for you.

In short: All newer Windows and Mac computers are supported. Phones and tablets are not supported at this time.

Software Download

Download the latest version of OkEncoder v0.9.1 that matches your computer.

Linux / UNIX-like Email us at support@sumokey.com with your operating system, such as Ubuntu or FreeBSD, and your processor architecture, such as x64 or ARM64. We can make a special build for you and support all major UNIX-like operating systems.

Tip: Please use the latest OkEncoder version listed above. Older versions are no longer recommended.

Software Access

For security reasons, software access will be disabled after you duplicate your tags or 7 days after your package is delivered, whichever comes first.

If suspicious activity is detected while using our software, such as attempting to write to tags not purchased from Sumokey, your software access may also be disabled.

Duplication Instructions

  1. Plug the reader into your computer and open the application.
  2. Keep all other UHF tags at least 5 feet away from the reader.
  3. Log in using the numeric credentials provided by our support team at support@sumokey.com.

    Note: If you haven’t received your login credentials, please reach out to our support team at support@sumokey.com.

    For security purposes, credentials expire after 7 days, so be sure to use them promptly.

  4. Place your original tag on the reader and click Read.

  5. Remove the original tag from the reader. Make sure any other tags are at least 5 feet away, then place the new tag on the reader.
  6. Click Write to duplicate the tag.
  7. Test your new tag.

macOS Sequoia (macOS 15) and Above: App Opening Instructions

Our application is plug-and-play and does not require installation. However, starting with macOS Sequoia (macOS 15), Apple may block the app from opening normally.

If that happens, please open the app through the Terminal app by following these steps:

  1. Open the Terminal app from Launchpad.

  2. Type cd Downloads and press Enter.
  3. Then type ./OkEncoder_0.9.1_arm64 and press Enter. The application will launch.
