🔐 Schlage 9691T — Dual-Frequency Cloning Instructions

The Schlage 9691T is a dual-frequency key fob. That means there are two separate parts:

✅ High Frequency (Encrypted)
Use the USB reader to decrypt and duplicate.
✅ Low Frequency
Use the Blue Cloner to copy the low-frequency portion.
Important: Make sure you follow the correct section below based on which frequency you are cloning.

💻 High Frequency (Encrypted) — USB Reader

  1. Plug the USB reader into your computer.
  2. Download the software for your operating system:

💻 Choose the Correct File for Your Computer

  • PN532-Cloner-Mac-x64.tar — for MacOS
  • PN532-Cloner-Win-x64.exe — for Windows

Download and open the version that matches your computer's operating system.

🍎 Mac Users — Important Setup Instructions

The file downloaded from GitHub is in .tar format. First, double-click the file to extract (unzip) it.

Once extracted, locate the unzipped executable file. Hold Control and click the file, then select Open With → Terminal to run it.

If your Mac blocks the app because Apple can’t verify the developer, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click “Open Anyway” to allow it to run.

▶️ High Frequency Cloning Steps

  1. Download and run the PN532-Cloner file. This will automatically open a Terminal window, where the cloning software will run.

    • MacOS: Opens the Terminal app.

    • Windows: Opens Command Prompt / Windows Terminal.

    The Terminal window will display the instructions used for the cloning process.

  2. Place your original fob on the reader.
    ⚠️ Do not use on a metal surface.
    ⚠️ Keep your computer from going to sleep (decryption can take a few minutes).
  3. In Terminal, type r and press Enter.
  4. Wait until you see “Read Success”.
  5. Remove the original fob and place your blank fob on the reader.
  6. Type w and press Enter.
  7. When you see “Write Success”, your high-frequency copy is complete 🎉

🔵 Low Frequency — Blue Cloner

✅ Low Frequency Cloning Steps

  1. Turn on the Blue Cloner using the switch on the right side.
  2. Place your original fob on the left edge of the Blue Cloner where the ⭐ star is marked.
  3. Press READ — you should hear a beeping confirmation.
  4. Remove the original fob and place your blank fob in the same position.
  5. Press WRITE — you should hear a beeping confirmation.
    🎉 Your low-frequency copy is now ready to use!
