Q: Is it legal to copy my key?

A: Sumokey operates out of California, and under the current state law, there are no restrictions on copying a key you legally own whether it is to your front door, the front gate or a community access point, like a pool or gym. Feel free to check the local laws in your area if you have any other concerns.

Q: Is the Key Fob information kept secure?

A: Absolutely! The Key Fob information is kept secure to your order number and the key fob owner.

Q: What type of Key Fob do I have?

A: The typical key fob used to access the HOA community pools and gyms are the low frequency (125 khz) RFID key fob. For further details check out our  Key Fobs Explained page to shed some light.

Q: What if my key doesn't work?

A: It does not happen often but if you happen to get a copy that has an error contact us immediately and we will be happy to make it right.

Q: When will I receive my refund?

A: Once you received your refund notification email. Please allow 5-10 business days for our credit card processors to add the funds back into your account.

Q: How do I know I received my refund?

A: When a refund is authorized by one of our sales directors you will receive a refund authorization email. Please allow 3-5 business days for us to process this.

Q: How do I get a partial refund?

A: Contact us for any issues that may warrant a partial refund. We are able to send partial refunds one day after your transaction has settled.
